About me
I'm Caroline, a surface pattern designer and illustrator.
I live in the Netherlands with my boyfriend and our Maine Coon, Charlie Bubbles.
I create hand-drawn patterns and illustrations inspired by the seasons.
The first flowers of spring, long summer days outdoors and the warm colours of autumn: that's where many of my ideas begin.
I draw colourful illustrations and patterns with sketchy lines and small imperfections that I cherish.
Those hand-drawn details give my work character and bring warmth and personality into the home.
What began as a love of drawing has grown into my own designs and collections.
Charlie Bubbles
A constant source of inspiration in my creative process is Charlie Bubbles, our 18-year-old Maine Coon. His calm presence, playful character, and undeniable charm subtly find their way into my work.
Charlie even has his own collection on Etsy, consisting of digital Christmas cards and art prints!

Through By C Studio®, I create designs that make a home feel more personal.
Sometimes one special cushion or a small detail is enough to change how a room feels.
In my shop you'll find cushions, cushion covers and phone cases featuring my own hand-drawn patterns.
I choose products that let my artwork and colours come into their own, with careful attention to the quality of the finished product.
Alongside my own collections, I create illustrations and patterns for licensing and creative collaborations with brands.
I love seeing a small drawing from my studio find its place on textiles, home accessories, packaging or other products.
In a collaboration, I look for a balance between the recognisable By C Studio® style and the other brand's identity.
I want to grow a recognisable world of seasonal design, for the home and beyond.
